The Alternative Board
The Alternative Board TAB® is an international membership
organization for small business owners, presidents and CEOs who are are
dedicated to improving their businesses.
We organize peer advisory boards of up to 12 non- competing
businesses who meet monthly under the guidance of a TAB-Certified
Facilitator to discuss both their opportunities and challenges in a
relaxed, confidential, "think tank" atmosphere.
At these meetings your fellow board members will help you refine your
role in your company and to meet and exceed your personal and business
goals. Every meeting, you will be able to present your personal or
business challenge or opportunity and you will receive practical advice
and real world solutions - not theory, based on the board's many years
of combined business experience.
Because your board members are from non- competing businesses, they
are not locked in to your company's or your industry's way of thinking
and you will view things from a broader perspective. They will help you
think "out of the box."
As you learn about your other board members' businesses, you will
come to understand that 75-80% of issues are common to all privately
owned businesses and you will avoid mistakes by learning how other
members faced and solved similar problems to your own. Most business
challenges today are about marketing and selling effectively to generate
new business, cash flow, finding and motivating good employees, taking
advantage of new technology and, most importantly, using your time
effectively as the owner of your company.
In addition your Facilitator will arrange for guest speakers on a
range of business topics as the board requires.
As a business owner you owe it to yourself to become a better, more
